Brødre tog røven på Ludewig

nullDagens etape i Herald Sun Tour sluttede med, at tre ryttere, Wesley Sulzberger (South Australia.com – AIS), Jörg Ludewig (Wiesenhof-Felt) og Bernard Sulzberger (DFL Cyclingnews Litespeed) kom sammen til mål. Selvom de Sulzberger brødre ikke kører på samme hold, udnyttede de deres familiære forhold. I et sving 200 meter fra mål kørte Wesley hurtigt igennem svinget med Bernard på hjul og Ludewig i tredje position. Bernard lod så sin bror køre, og inden det gik op for Ludewig hvad der skete, havde Wesley fået et for stort forspring. Dermed kunne han køre over stregen som vinder af anden etape.

I den samlede stilling er det stadigvæk Matthew Wilson, fra Unibet.com holdet som fører. Unibet.com holdet tog ansvaret på dagens etape og sørgede for, at dagens forskellige udbrud aldrig kom til at true hverken Wilsons eller Baden Cookes placeringer.
