Casper fejrede ny kontrakt med sejr

Rytterne skulle køre 139,6 kilometer fra Meximieux til Sant-Vulbas på en næsten fuldstændig flad rute. De største udfordringer var to kategori 4 stigninger, Côte de Chaillon og Côte de Gévrioux, der lå helholdsvis 116,4 og 83,2 kilometer fra mål.
 

Etapen endte da også med den forventede massespurt, og her var Jimmy Casper (Saur-Sojasun) stærkest, da han slog Romain Hardy (Bretagne-Schuller) og Robin Chaigneau (Skil-Shimano) i spurten om sejren.
 

Jimmy Casper blev tidligere i dag bekræftet til AG2R La Mondiale og valgte altså at fejre den nye kontrakt med en sejr.
 

Wilco Kelderman (Rabobank CT) forsvarede naturligvis sin førertrøje.
