Dobbeltsejr til Liquigas i USA

Her til aften blev den sidste etape af etapeløbet USA Pro Cycling Challenge afviklet i Colorado. Etapen blev kørt fra Golden til Denver over 115.9 kilometer. Rytterne skulle køres på en rundstrækning i Denver, og der blev virkelig gået til den, hvor klassementsryttere forsøgte at ændre på tingene en sidste gange.

Et større udbrud med klassementsfavoritterne angreb nemlig på dagens første stigning, og det gav masser af action, men henimod finalen blev feltet samlet, hvor Saxo Bank-SunGard havde haft Laurent Didier i udbrud. Et felt på godt 50 ryttere spurtede om sejren, hvor Liquigas-Cannondale fik en dobbeltsejr, da Daniel Oss sejrede foran holdkammeraten Elia Viviani.

Samlet sejrede Levi Leipheimer (Team RadioShack) foran Christian Vande Velde (Team Garmin-Cervelo) og Tejay Van Garderen (HTC-Highroad). Det var Levi Leipheimers tredje samlet sejr i år.
