Dobbeltsejr til Team Saxo Bank i Wallonien

På sidste etape af Tour de Wallonie skulle rytterne 173 kilometer fra Ottignies til Turnai over rimelig fladt terræn. To udbrud - begge på fem ryttere - var i udbrud på dagens etape. André Steensen var med i det første af dem, men de fik aldrig lov at slippe afgørende væk, og feltet skulle afgøre etapen i en massespurt.

Her hentede Team Saxo Banks Matthew Goss en ny etapesejr til det danske hold, hvor han slog holdkammeraten Juan Jose Haedo og Stefan Van Dijck (Vérandas Willems).

Det blev Goss' anden og holdets tredje i løbet, hvor Haedo også har vundet en etape.

Julien El Fares (Cofidis) var med feltet hjem og sikrede sig således den samlede sejr foran Pavel Brutt (Team Katusha) og Alexander Kolobnev (Team Saxo Bank)
