Team CSC sejr på prologen i USA

nullLøbet startede med en 3.4 km lang prolog. Ren guf for Team CSCs verdensmester Fabian Cancellara, som kørte de 3.4 kilometer i Palo Alto på kun 3 minutter og 51 sekunder. Det var klart bedste tid og Cancellara er dermed i førertrøjen, når første etape afvikles i morgen.

CSC-rytteren vandt prologen foran Bradley Wiggins (High Road) samt Tyler Farrar (Slipstream).

Norske Edvald Boasson Hagen (High Road) fik en rigtig flot debut for det nye amerikanske hold med en 5. plads og snupper ungdomstrøjen efter prologen. Svenske Gustav Larsson (Team CSC) blev nummer 6 på prologen.
