Bennati sejrede i ny massespurt

nullLiquigas sejrede i dag i Trofeo Melinda, da Leonardo Bertagnolli kom først overstregen. I Eneco Tour havde Daniele Bennati måske hørt om denne sejr, da han viste stor styrke i dagens massespurt på 3. etape af etapeløbet.

Efter flere udbrud kom et samlet felt til målstregen i Terneuzen efter 185,9 km. Løbet blev kørt på en forholdsvis flad rute, hvor sprinterholdene havde mulighed for at styre dagens begivenheder. I massespurten var Daniele Bennati altså stærkest og sejrede foran første etapes vinder Tom Boonen (QuickStep), imens Jürgen Roelandts (Silence-Lotto) blev nummer tre.

Samlet overtager Daniele Bennati (Liquigas) førertrøjen fra José Ivan Gutierrez (Caisse d'Epargne).
