Loddo fik skovlen under Boonen

nullAlberto Loddo (Tinkoff) vandt i dag 4. etape af Tour of Qatar. Dagens etape blev kørt fra Khalifa Stadium til Al Khor Corniche over 131.5 km. Etapen endte nok engang i en massespurt, hvor Tinkoff-rytteren sejrede foran netop løbets førende rytter Tom Boonen (QuickStep) samt Sebastian Siedler (Skil-Shimano).

Samlet forsvarede Tom Boonen førertrøjen efter, at han og QuickStep holdet har vundet de tre første etaper.

Dagens sejr til Alberto Loddo var den første siden den 4. maj 2007, hvor italieneren vandt 2. etape af Vuelta Asturias. 2007 startede ellers perfekt for Alberto Loddo i februar måned med 5 etapesejre i Tour de Langkawi samt samlet vinder af pointkonkurrencen. Desuden blev det til en sejr på 1. etape af Vuelta a la Rioja i april måned.
